With the Client consent for further processing of the data after the repayment of the liability, the data are disclosed to the banks for assessment of credit worthiness and analysis of the credit risk involved for the period identified by the Client, and to confirm his positive credit history. It is a strong argument in Clients' favour while applying for the new credits.

The data may be processed also without Client's consent for the period of 5 years if the following conditions are satisfied jointly: the client did not repay the obligation, was over 60 days in default and 30 days have elapsed of the date of client's notification of the possibility of submitting his data to BIK for processing without his consent. Further, pursuant to the updated Banking Law, the data concerning the liabilities of all the clients may be processed by BIK for the period of 12 years of the repayment of the liability for the purposes related to the banks' credit risk assessment models. Processing of the data for this purpose does not require consent of the clients as this information does not pertain to any concrete persons.
