The mission of Biuro Informacji Kredytowej (Credit Information Bureau) is to maintain the market leader position in exchange of information supporting the secure economic trading. BIK is an infrastructure company of the banking sector offering its services to the organisations bearing financial risk - banks in particular - and to their clients, by acting as the credit data integrator and the integrator of the information obtained from the public and non-public data sets.

In fulfilment of its mission, Biuro Informacji Kredytowej particularly emphasises the role of promotion of importance of the information for the reliable economic exchange and the need to build a positive credit history for the benefit of each bank user. The greatest allies the BIK's pursuit of this aim are naturally the banks and Związek Banków Polskich [Polish Banks Association], while the cooperation is also developed with other entities from the financial sector, consumer organisations, self-government organisations and government authorities.
